Maybe...DADT? Maybe not

How do y'all feel about this?

Oh it pissed me off. Like I wrote on ClipsNChips DADT is quickly becoming the thorn in my relationship with the Obama administration. Turning it into a love-hate relationship rather than one solely of admiration.

I've always wanted to ask, or have someone in the press ask, exactly what they are reviewing that is taking them so long to overturn it. They make it sound as if there will have to be major reforms in the military, when all that would happen is less people will loose their jobs.

I hope come 2012 and all of this is over with the economy (hopefully) this issue is put to rest, because I can't imagine Obama expecting much from queer people as a demographic when he is turning out to be another Bill Clinton.

To borrow an phrased used in the military (I come from a history of enlisted family members), I would describe this as "hurry up and wait."

Allan S is too kind. I'd class it more as a Cluster Fuck.

I think the real problem is that they realize that be repealing DADT they open the door to a whole host of benefit changes.

Things like survivor benefits, pensions, etc. In essence the same sex partner is the spouse and that's the sticky side.
