Rhode Island Senate passed Marriage Equality bill by 26-12 Vote


Great News!

Rhode Island Senate passed the marriage equality bill!

Now it goes to the House Judiciary Committee, hopefully by next Tuesday.

Yes indeed - it too a long time but at last we can breathe a sigh and finally marry the ones we love.

It's quite remarkable how the stars aligned for this one.

I mean, a couple years back we had the house in full play, and had started working on the Senate. And then HRC and the State Dem Party came in and threw their weight around.

That's when I left the organization but continued to agitate. If it meant getting politicians saying really hateful shit on camera, I did it.
